Network trend over the last 24 hours
The chart shows the network signal level (BGP reachability and active probes) relative to the median of the last 24 hours: full bars = normal, low bars = possible outage.
What to do if Vodafone UK is down
First rule: work out whether the problem is widespread or just yours. If the badge above shows an outage, the most useful thing is to wait: nationwide network faults usually clear within a few hours, and calling support won't speed up the repair. In the meantime you can use mobile data (a hotspot from your phone) if it's the fixed line that's down, or home Wi-Fi if the problem is mobile.
If the status is normal but nothing works at your place, the problem is probably local: restart your router (30 seconds off), check the line LEDs and cables, and try a second device. Vodafone UK broadband runs over the Openreach and CityFibre networks, alongside its own mobile network. A fault may affect fixed or mobile differently depending on the access network.
Is it me or the provider?
The quickest way to tell is to measure: run a speed test from your phone on 4G/5G (Wi-Fi off) and one from a PC wired to the router. If mobile works but the fixed line doesn't, the problem is on your line or on Vodafone UK's fixed network; if nothing works across the whole area, it's almost certainly a provider outage. Ask neighbours too — network faults hit whole areas.
Remember: a slow line isn't a down line. If the test is consistently far below your plan, you can complain — the steps are in our ISP speed test guide.

FAQ
How do I know if Vodafone UK is down right now?
Look at the badge at the top of this page: the status is computed from public network signals (IODA, Georgia Tech) on Vodafone UK's infrastructure and refreshes every ~10 minutes. Red means a likely network outage; green but nothing works at your place almost always means a local problem.
Vodafone UK is slow but not fully down: what should I do?
Run a speed test over a cable and one over Wi-Fi: if the wired figures are good, the bottleneck is your Wi-Fi (channel, router placement, coverage). If you're consistently far below your plan even over a cable, document several tests at different times and complain.
How long does a Vodafone UK outage usually last?
Most nationwide faults clear within 1–4 hours; local faults (a street cabinet, a cut line) need a technician visit and can last longer. If an outage runs long you may be eligible for a credit, so keep a note of the date and time.
Where does this data come from?
From IODA (Internet Outage Detection and Analysis, Georgia Tech), a public project that detects reachability anomalies at network (ASN) level. It's not an official provider channel: it's an independent measure of the network's health.
